The painting shows how nature is hidden over the winter period due to leaves falling. The artist uses many rich jewel tones to show the colours of the season with dark burnt oranges and ochres, alongside dark green. The painting is rich in texture as the artist has used acrylic paint and mediums to physically make the painting textured but has used a wide array of iridescent metallic to pick up light and create shadows across the painting. The artists also shows the crispness of the winter season through the light blue and the lighter colours in the background. The painting would be a great centrepiece in any room, both with natural and artificial light.
