Artwork description
My etching "Sea, Beach, Cliffs" is inspired by the textures and structures of the chalk cliffs along the South Coast of the UK. It is the first of a developing series of etchings looking at the changing geography of the South Coast cliffs.
Changes in climate and weather over the centuries have constantly influenced the form and shape of the cliffs. This process of erosion is ongoing.
With this series of etchings I hope to capture the sense of drama and beauty within this process.
Each etching is an original, printed by me on acid free fine art printing paper in my studio in Brighton. The image size is 30cm x 20cm with a paper margin of 6cm all around.
