Created as a commissioned piece for an exhibition in a luxury hôtel in Paris, this large-scale painting explores the timeless image of pedestrian crossing through a contemporary feminine perspective. Four elegant female silhouettes stride confidently across the road while the street stretches endlessly into the distance. I was inspired by the iconic Abbey Road album cover by the Beatles: I wanted to reinterpret this universally recognized scene with feminine energy, vibrant colors and a modern sensibility. The palette is bold and luminous combining yellows, deep greens, rich blues and warn earthy tones. The overall atmosphere is sunny, joyful, dynamic and full of life.
