£8,000

Based on the Greek Goddess, Aphrodite.
My aim with this artwork, is to be all encompassing, all welcome, love has no boundaries --- these were my thoughts when I began this creation several years ago, when I was asked to develop a contemporary work based on Aphrodite. I was trying to find a union between the mythical and the realistic. I feel I have found that space.
First I constructed the artwork, then created a mosaic base using coloured glass, adding further layers with other materials that would catch the light, reflect and radiate the power and glory of my goddess.
I will be adding a solid base to this artwork for display.

For shipping purposes and safety, the head of “ Goddess of Love “, is removable and is easily placed onto the body.

All of my works are an addition of one.
Being a story teller, I use my creativity to leave a visual history of how I relate to the time I am living in.

Materials used:

mosiac, glass, plaster, found objects, rhinestone gems, paint, wood, resin.
