This painting was completed on location (en plein Aire) during a plein air painting competition in St Louis, MO in 2018. It was a rainy day but I found some shelter and painted this very popular St Louis Botanical Garden scene with the Climatron in the background. Rainy days make all the colors more saturated than sunny days. Flowers were in bloom with beautiful reds, purples, and pink showy displays. I have always loved visiting these gardens and I was really inspired to paint this scene. Can see yourself walking down that path? This painting is framed in a beautiful rich dark brown frame with warm undertones and is ready to hang on your wall.
