Fraîche is bubbly and vivid, playful and joyous; a little piece of heaven. I was inspired by a picture of the rocky foothill out our front door in Colorado before we moved to Washington state. The colors are warm, just like a summer day, and the way this piece pops and vibrates, it’s filled with an effervescence I always felt looking out my door. Translate that emotion into a plain old hill, and look what you get!
This canvas is mounted on 1-1/2" deep museum stretchers which are painted as 3D extensions of the main image.
