Artwork description
This is a solar etching of afternoon light streaming down the road near where I live.
It is made by using one of my photographs which is then printed onto a transparency. This is put over a light-sensitive polymer plate which is exposed to UV light. This transfers the image to the plate, which I can then print in the same way as a traditional etching.
Each print is inked up in sepia ink, wiped, and put through an etching press.
