Purple Flames (2020) Original Acrylic Painting by Deimante Bruzguliene

Purple Flames

Original Abstract Acrylic Painting

Purple Flames is an original abstract acrylic painting inspired by movement, energy and the organic forms created through fluid paint.

Rich purple tones flow across the composition alongside areas of white, black and contrasting colour, creating shapes that suggest flames moving and twisting across the canvas.

What attracted me to this process was its unpredictability. Rather than controlling every detail, I allowed the movement of the paint and the interaction between colours to become an important part of the creative process. The resulting patterns and textures developed naturally, making the final composition impossible to reproduce exactly.

The flowing forms reminded me of flames — constantly changing, energetic and almost weightless — which inspired the title Purple Flames.

This painting belongs to an earlier period of my artistic practice when I was exploring abstract and fluid acrylic techniques alongside my developing work in realism.

Purple Flames is a one-of-a-kind original artwork created using professional artist-quality acrylic paints and texture medium on cotton canvas.
