Family Euphoria (2022) Original Oil Painting by Rumen Sazdov

I created this piece to capture the raw, kinetic energy of movement and human connection through a vibrant, fractured lens. In painting this work, I striped away strict anatomical realism and instead I used cubist-inspired, geometric forms to convey the rhythmic flow of the figures. The palette is a war between warm and cool tones, my goal was to blur the lines between individual identity leaving just a feeling of dance, passion, and synchronized yet free energy. I imagine this painting in a family living room, where people talk and laugh.
