Emperor Dog (2015)Monoprint

This beautiful, elegant, Royal dog in this unique print is like a fairy tale pet. Real King Poodles are as amazing and wonderfull! I love how proud and clever they look. When this print dried I recognized the poodle-like hairdo en triangular face. With colored pencils I started drawing and did not stop until this wonderful creature was 'born'.

This print is sold with a passe partout size: 40 x 50 x 0,3 cm

Printing gives me the pleasure of surprise. It always turns out different than expected. This triggers new ideas. My monoprints often consist of multiple layers of paint printed on top of each other. And after that printing process I also draw or paint on the prints again.
