Emerald Reflection is a contemporary Mediterranean cityscape from the Architecture of Memory series. The painting brings together coastal architecture, the Adriatic Sea and their shifting reflections, transforming a familiar seaside landscape into a space suspended between reality and memory.
Traditional red-roofed houses emerge from a deep emerald and turquoise atmosphere, while the water dissolves architectural forms into layers of colour, texture and light. Expressive brushwork, visible traces of paint and areas of dark canvas create a sense of movement and impermanence, as if the town is being reconstructed through memory rather than observed directly.
The work explores the relationship between architecture, landscape and personal perception — how familiar places remain with us after we leave them, gradually becoming fragments of remembered space.
This original contemporary painting combines elements of Mediterranean landscape, Adriatic coastal scenery, architectural painting, expressive cityscape and semi-abstract art. Its rich emerald, turquoise, deep blue and terracotta palette creates a strong atmospheric presence while retaining the raw, tactile character of the Architecture of Memory series.

acrylic on canvas, oil pastel, acrylic matte protective varnish
