Dust and Ceremony Photograph by Basel Almisshal

76.2 x 50.8cm

£703.72

A line of horsemen surges through a veil of golden dust, robes and banners caught mid-motion in a traditional equestrian celebration. I made this photograph at the moment the riders converged, when the dust they raised turned sunlight into atmosphere and the scene resolved into rhythm: repeated forms, raised hooves, a single held gesture across the frame.

The image belongs to my long-standing documentation of cultural life across the Arabian Peninsula, where horsemanship remains a living ceremony passed between generations. As an architect, I read the scene the way I read a building: structure first, then light, then the life moving through it.

This is a museum-quality giclee print on archival fine art paper, made from the original high-resolution file, signed and numbered with a certificate of authenticity. Each print is produced to exhibition standard and shipped rolled in a protective tube.
