Dark Sweet Lips (2024) Original Acrylic Painting by Karl Hamilton-Cox

This is one of my rare abstract-style paintings with lips looking like a sweet/candy wrapper. This unique hand painted on leather artwork measures 12x20" box framed and ready to wall hang.

Inspired by wanting to create, in a realism style, an abstract painting morphing the brightness of a sweet/candy wrapper and voluminous lips.

Hand painted on black (upholstery quality) leather to make best use of the tactile nature of the lightly textured leather to give depth to the art - that can also be touched as the artwork does not need to be behind glass. The paint finish is the same that I do art on leather jackets etc and uses a specialised technique using industry- leading materials.

This artwork concept is tactile as the paint finish is waterproof and can be handled.
