Set over 3-days the art& show has over 120 artists work for sale & commission from a wide price range of £10-£20,000.

Event: Palace Art Fest

A juried exhibition of approx. 30 local artists from Hereford and the Marches, held in the Bishop's Palace next the Hereford Cathedral. Palace Art-fest is supported by Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust and Friends of Hereford Three Choirs Festival, a proportion of the funds generated reciprocates that support.

Biography
Update 11 September 2023: I have just finished participating in the annual Herefordshire Art Week 2-10 September. Many of my artworks here on Artfinder have been out of my studio and as such were 'hidden' as they were out for sale at one of two live venues I supported. I am re-list paintings.
About me
I am a portraiture and fine art artist, full-time since 2013 and specialising in painting on leather although I can and do occasionally use traditional media. My subjects do vary - it keeps me on my toes and new challenges are a good thing.
Due to exhibitions and shows being cancelled in 2020 and 2021 I decided to upload many more pieces to Artfinder than I would normally and this proved a success. As a self-employed Artist life must go on. *Please be aware that some of my listings here may be taken offline at short notice due to them being away from my studio at exhibition, in a local gallery or purchased via my website.*
Leather art. Many of my artworks here are painted in the medium of leather, this art is challenging to work with but the properties of each hide gives an aesthetic that will never, in my experience, be matched by paper or canvas. I have developed a technique that starts with digital technology in the preparation of each composition to the technical aspect of selecting, treating and preparing the stock upholstery-quality hides I use and then final presentation and framing. The specialised leather painting process does provide a vibrant and robust paint finish that complements the original colour and texture of the leather.
As a part-time sculptor I appreciate how tactile art has a role in engaging its appreciation. My leather art can be touched, caressed and even worn as art clothing.
I am a professional Engineer and have developed a style and technique that ensures my leather art is robust and is resistant to agents such as petrol, oil and strong detergents.
Other traditional media: I also paint on canvas and panel - it very much depends on the subject using such media as oil, acrylics and graphite pencil.
My work has a realistic style and usually adapted from one or a series of photograph references. See my website for art not yet here on Artfinder and details of the custom leather jacket painting I do.
Commissions
I do take on art commissions covering all of the subjects, styles and media that you can see here on my gallery on Artfinder. The most popular are pets, portraits and cars.

SHIPPING
I am currently reviewing the shipping prices and profiles of my artworks to include the UK the USA and now Canada. I have used DHL for over 10 years to ship art to the USA and have found them to be highly competent with art taking only 5-7 days to arrive!
UK shipping is by Royal Mail. Smaller items go by Special Delivery 1pm next working day. Larger items either by DHL or Parcel Force dependant on size, weight and value.
Studio collection from here in Hereford is welcome.
I do have art listed elsewhere so if you are thinking of purchasing any piece please do so soonest otherwise there is a good chance the one you are after may get snapped up by someone else.
Overseas orders: please note that due to a wide variety of shipping rates and duty costs I cannot include all eventualities on each listing.

Sales for selling art to the EU, as duty rates for art differ by each Nation State (from 5-20%), varying shipping rates and now the impact of the additional EU (and especially the German) packaging material tax that places another administrative and financial burden that make it no longer economically viable for me to sell my art there. Sorry folks :-(
