Dancing in the Dark explores the moment when movement takes over and thought disappears.
The figure is absorbed by rhythm, no longer separate from the movement itself. Darkness becomes almost irrelevant - the body continues instinctively, carried by energy, repetition and momentum.
The work exists between figurative painting and abstraction, where the figure becomes less an individual and more a trace of movement and presence.
I work intuitively, without sketches or photographic references, allowing the image to develop through memory, emotion and inner dialogue.
