Original artwork description:

The shapes of these wind-blown cypress trees lining up the Scenic Road along the Carmel Beach are so interesting and intriguing - so many curves, sharp angles, and swirls. I love painting the landscape scenes that feature these trees, and I am always inspired to capture the nuances of different light effects on them. This scene had an additional attraction of the dappled light in the shadow reaching out over the crosswalk towards me.

Materials used to create this artwork: Oil on Centurion Oil-primed DLX Linen Panel. The painting surface is protected with a coat of Gamvar varnish. It is listed unframed, and will require a frame to hang. It will fit in a standard (USA) 11"x14" frame.
