Cromer Sky is a 24 x 24 inches realist oil painting. In this painting the morning’s heavy rain and storm clouds start to clear and the sun returns to illuminate the sea.
Apart from being a beautiful painting, Christopher Witchall’s Cromer Sky is a work of hope and optimism, much needed in these troubling times. The sea represents a continuity between the ancient past and the distant future, a never ending cycle of energy and the coming and going of the tides. The weather is constantly changing and temporary - everything will pass.
