In Sept-Îles, corrugated metal dominates the landscape. Architecturally, it is not the most attractive feature, but from a photographic standpoint—when the light is intense and strikes the surface at a near-parallel angle—it yields semi-abstract images of great graphic beauty.

Here, I have captured the power of contrast and the beauty of simple geometry in black and white. This interplay of shadows and vertical lines evokes modernity and minimalism. My intention was to reveal a hidden harmony where light and darkness coexist, bringing dynamism and repetitive patterns to the space.

Materials used:

Printed on 100% cotton paper—free of acid and optical brighteners (Fine Art print)—using pigment-based inks
