Painted from a tiny black and white photograph of some cottages, I think, in Yorkshire.
I was experimenting with transforming unprepossessing images into something more special: a form of alchemy. If you look at the detail you can see an idea of the process.
Painted on wood so very heavy. Framed by the artist.
Materials used:
Spectrum oil paint, knives, sticks, paste medium.
