Original artwork description
A Chinook is a warm, moist southwest wind off the coast from Oregon northward to Washington state, my new home. It’s named for an American Indian people of the north shore of the Columbia River at its mouth and the language they spoke. I must be internalizing the new landscape I feel around me. I make lively dances out of what I see around me and I feel that warm whisp leap out of a red orange crevice towards the river surface. Do you?
The deep 1-1/2" museum mount edges of Gracious are painted as 3D extensions of the main image. Chinook was created with charcoal and pastel on acrylic paint. Your piece arrives prewired, ready to hang.
