This painting shows an orange-and-white cat stretched out in a relaxed, playful pose against a richly patterned Arbabash background. Although it is not a traditional carpet, the felted wool has a different texture — softer, denser, and very warm to the touch.
The bold colors and textured brushstrokes create rhythm, comfort, and a sense of memory, turning a familiar domestic scene into something expressive and decorative. For me, it is also a cozy memory from my grandmother’s house.
