Before the Storm captures a moment of stillness on an almost deserted shore as a storm gathers above the sea. Two small figures remain beneath the vast, shifting sky, emphasizing the scale and intensity of the surrounding atmosphere.

I am interested in the point at which a landscape begins to dissolve into light, air and memory. Here, the sea and shore are reduced to a few quiet horizontal traces, while the sky becomes the dominant presence.
