One line drawing

During my art journey in Thailand I have learned a bit of Thai culture. I have visited some temples and admired religious statues of Buddha.

The core teaching of Buddhism is the „Four Noble Truths”, which dictates that underpinning all existence is suffering, which one can be liberated from through practising the „Eightfold Path”. For many Thai people, Buddhism is considered a philosophy for how to live one’s life and numerous Buddhist principles – such as tolerance, calmness and merit – are values found throughout Thai culture. Buddhist practices are embedded in the everyday routines of Thai people. Buddhist iconography is also ubiquitous. Besides Buddhist temples and spirit homes, government buildings showcase images of the Buddha, and many homes display an image or statue of the Buddha. After my stay in Thailand I have also decided to depict Buddha in my artistic vision.

No fear

The Abhaya mudra represents protection, peace, benevolence, and dispelling of fear.
It is said that this mudra was the first used by the Buddha after reaching enlightenment.
It also means being without a weapon in hand, it was used as a gesture of good intentions and friendship when approaching strangers.

The drawing is signed the initials of the author on the front.
Certificate of authenticity attached to the drawing.
The drawing is sold without frame.

The work will be sent to 3 business days after order. The shipment should reach the destination within 15 business days (to most destinations).
