Bloom 2 in color Linocut by Anastasiia Tarasiuk

42 x 59.4cm

£654.95

This work from the robot series depicts Starfruit Damasonium (Damasonium alisma) — an extremely rare aquatic plant listed in the Red Data Book of Ukraine as an endangered species. Its populations are limited to only a few natural habitats, including the biosphere reserve “Askania-Nova”, one of the oldest and most renowned reserves in Ukraine, famous for its unique steppe and aquatic ecosystems, as well as the Great Chapelsky Pod.

In this linocut, the Starfruit Damasonium is presented in a vase as a symbol of delicate beauty, vital strength, and the memory of rare plants. The work reflects the fragility of nature: war, habitat degradation, and disrupted conservation can threaten the survival of such unique species.
