This work explores the dynamic boundary between representation and abstraction through the image of the sea. The upper part of the composition is occupied by an incoming wave rendered in a subtle palette of grey-blue tones. The remaining two-thirds of the canvas are dominated by swirling sea foam, which becomes the central visual and conceptual element of the painting.

Executed with both palette knife and brush, the foam is built up through rich textures and layered acrylic paint. Its nearly monochromatic treatment shifts the viewer’s attention away from literal depiction toward the material and expressive qualities of the painted surface. The foam transforms into an abstract field of movement, rhythm, and light.

The contrast between the recognizable form of the wave and the freedom of the gestural marks creates a sense of constant transformation, echoing the ever-changing nature of the sea. Balancing between seascape and abstraction, the work invites contemplation of natural forces, impermanence, and the fluid relationship between observation and imagination.
The painting will be send from Switzerland in a tube.
