Autumn View in the Lake District (2026) Original Acrylic Painting by Julia Rigby

Last September we spent a week in an area of the Lake District which I didn't know so well. It turned out to be one of the best weeks we have had up there - lots of walking along new found footpaths and views like this.
The Autumn colours were amazing and the views were enhanced by the strong sunlight and deep shadows.
This painting features a row of white cottages, behind them the beautiful fells of the area. The colours are chosen to sing out and the painting is impressionistic in style. It is supplied rolled in a tube.
