A quiet bay opens between green coastal hills. The distant shore almost dissolves into the hazy light, while a tiny red boat becomes a vivid accent in the wide expanse of pale blue water. In the foreground, an old stone wall and dense Mediterranean greenery frame the view.

Working outdoors, I wanted to preserve the immediate impression of the place — the changing light, the softness of the distance, the movement of the water and the feeling of air between the shores. The transparency and spontaneity of watercolour seemed especially suited to this fleeting plein-air moment.
