In this artwork, I continue my exploration of aloe vera—a plant I cultivate myself—focusing on bold color contrasts and how color interactions trigger emotional and sensory responses. The sculpted, expressive architecture of the aloe leaves anchors a vibrant dialogue between saturated fields of red, blue, and yellow, turning a familiar domestic scene into a vivid psychological space.

This canvas draws inspiration from the Fauvist freedom of Henri Matisse, the expressive still lifes of Vincent van Gogh, the clean graphic clarity of David Hockney, and the Pop Art color blocking of Tom Wesselmann. The creative process was fueled by a rich sonic backdrop, blending the complex layers of Radiohead, Massive Attack, Blur, and Pulp with the raw energy of Led Zeppelin. This musical drive guides the rhythmic lines and color intensity, transforming a personal botanical motif into an energetic celebration of form and pigment.
