Comets become branches, branches become light — a quiet alignment between earth and sky.
Alignment was painted after seeing a tree in early spring whose branches seemed to form comet-like trails, converging and intertwining as though drawn together by invisible gravity. It looked, for a moment, as if the natural world and the celestial were one — comets aligning to create a tree.
Painted in acrylic on sandpaper, the textured surface gives the work both warmth and a subtle shimmer, echoing light across bark and sky. The painting explores how pattern, chance, and imagination can turn ordinary observation into something otherworldly — a quiet meditation on connection, order, and wonder.
