Aftershok (2026) Original Mixed-media Sculpture by Reza Arab

121 x 61 x 5cm (unframed) / 121 x 61cm (actual image size)

£2,908.64

Aftershock explores the tension between disruption and balance through a restrained geometric composition and a deeply textured surface. Layers of hand-applied microcement create subtle variations in depth, tone, and movement, allowing light to continuously alter the perception of the work.

The composition suggests the residual traces of an impact—an event that has passed, yet continues to shape the surrounding structure. Rather than depicting a specific moment, the work focuses on what remains afterward: displacement, rhythm, silence, and a gradual return to equilibrium.

Created entirely by hand, Aftershock is part of the Resonance Series, an ongoing exploration of material, geometry, light, and perception through sculptural wall works.

Materials used:

MDF panel, microcement
