£337.84

The piece addresses the conflict—and potential reconciliation—between technology and the soul. A machine (or post-human being) playing an Adagio in D minor becomes a metaphor for: the search for emotion and beauty in an increasingly automated age;
nostalgia for classical humanity within a cybernetic body;
art’s attempt to survive (or be reborn) through technology.

It is an image typical of melancholic cyberpunk and retro-futurism: it does not celebrate progress triumphantly but questions it through the lens of music and emotional fragility.
