A Thousand Stories 38 (2026) Original Oil Painting by Alexeï Yakurin

An original oil painting of a man with a direct, unwavering gaze. The portrait is built from bold, sculpted strokes of coral, peach and warm orange, set against a cool, pale blue background. This contrast gives the face a glowing, almost sunlit intensity.

The visible brushwork and thick impasto keep the surface lively and tactile. Planes of colour define the strong jaw, the short-cropped hair and the textured beard, while the warm, expressive tones give the portrait its character and presence.

This piece would suit a modern interior and pairs well with contemporary or minimalist spaces. It would also make a striking gift for lovers of figurative art.
