My art is my passion, I need to paint, draw, sketch or be working on some aspect of my artwork each day or I consider it a wasted day, its like a drug, its certainly addictive. My current work is in pencil, and based around women wearing or draped in silk or satin. I am fascinated by the way these materials cover the female form and can be so seductive and alluring without showing too much, less is definitely more. Also I am continually inspired by the way one can produce beautiful images with the minimum of materials, and just achieve results through the varying pressure applied with a pencil. I have previously worked in oils and acrylics, on figurative, landscape, both formal and semi abstract, as well as a number of private commissions. My influences vary from Jack Vettriano, to Fabian Perez, Todd White to Bruno Tinucci. Vettriano's work first got me into painting, and I have copied a number of his works for my own personal satisfaction, I love the way every picture of his tells a story, and differently, to different observers. I also love Perez's dark and seductive underworld of images, White's sexy humour, and the beauty of Tinucci's Tuscan landscapes.
