Biography
Toni Kondev was born in 1981 in Tripoli, Libya. He graduated from the Dimitar Dobrovich High School of Applied Arts in Sliven-town with the speciality of Drawing & Graphics, and later on a major degree in Stage Design at the National Academy of Arts. Ever since his graduation he has taken part in many group and solo exibitions in Bulgaria nad Europe.
His drawings are one modern combination of romance, symbolism and quite challenging realism. They are exquisite, the compositions quite metaphorical and with a special ideological orientation. There is a fairy tale that coexists with a bare reality and the symbiosis awakens complex feelings in the viewer. But above all there is the magic of the special and extraordinary artist's thinking, of his subtle human sensitivity.
