About Tetiana Borys

My name is Tatiana and I am a professional artist from Ukraine. I have a specialized education, which began with a local art school and ended with a master's degree in fine and decorative arts (Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, Ukraine). My creative passion has grown into an in-depth study of the art and culture of my own country and the countries of Southeast Asia. This opportunity gives an understanding of the highlights of the life of each country individually, their intercultural psychology and genetics, system of norms, values and behavior. In particular, I was struck by the story of the unusual fate of a Ukrainian woman Kateryna Desnytska, born in Volyn (Ukraine), who was destined to become the wife of one of the heirs to the royal throne of Siam (now Thailand) Prince Chakrabongse (Chakrabon). Therefore, such events inspire and become part of the creative process. It is like two parts of the visible and the invisible, the internal analysis and the experienced. They give the power of emotions from a happy childhood, friendly relationships with nature and animals, friendliness and sincerity of people. I perform the daily continuous process both on paper and on canvas with various artistic materials. During 1997–2016, I took an active part in local art exhibitions, as well as in 2020 at the I International Triennial "In the Land of Gray Pearls"; in 2021– All-Ukrainian "Christmas Exhibition"; in 2022 – the virtual exhibition "Meta-Sense". The originals of my works are in private collections in several countries around the world and in the museum collection of my city of Lutsk in Ukraine (museum fund of the Volyn Museum of Local Lore).
