Biography
“I don’t paint what I see — I paint what I feel.”
My name is Tanya Lytko, I am a contemporary artist based in Aix-les-Bains, France.
Since 2013, I have been working in abstraction and abstract expressionism. My work is focused on expressing emotions, movement, and inner states through color, line, and texture.
For me, painting is an intuitive process. I often begin without a fixed idea, allowing the work to develop naturally through layers and gestures. I am interested in the balance between structure and spontaneity, control and freedom.
Nature plays an important role in my practice. Living close to mountains and water influences the rhythm, atmosphere, and palette of my paintings. I do not paint landscapes directly, but I translate their presence into abstract forms and sensations.
My work has been featured in an art publication and is held in private collections, and is collected by an international audience. I am currently preparing for an exhibition in Lyon.
Through my art, I explore inner space — a place where emotion and perception meet. Each painting is open to interpretation and invites the viewer to connect with it in a personal way. Each work reflects a moment of presence, emotion, and transformation.
