I am Rossana Bonetto, an Italian self-taught oil painter born in Milan. My work is rooted in dark romanticism, symbolism and a fascination with the quiet, unsettling beauty of everyday life.

I explore silence, melancholy and darkness and I am drawn to dramatic light, muted colours and the tension between beauty and unease. I am inspired often by Gothic literature, music and cinema. I love the feeling that something has happened, or is about to happen, just beyond the frame.

Before dedicating myself more deeply to painting, I developed my visual language as a professional tattoo artist and this background continues to influence my approach to my compositions and storytelling.

Every piece is an original work, painted by hand and signed with my initials, RB.
