Hi, I work intuitively to create an abstracted impression, a mood or a captured moment in time through colour, mark-making and subtle suggestions of form.

Preferring a less is more approach, my paintings are soft blended with a minimal colour palette. I like to create peaceful works that are balanced, have a flow and create a sense of calm, hopefully encouraging you to stop, breathe and contemplate for a few moments.

Based in Beach Haven on the North Shore of Auckland, NZ, my paintings often include the ocean and big skies, inspired by the ever-changing vistas from my studio looking west across the Upper Waitemata harbour.

I completed a Diploma of Art and Creativity between 2004 and 2006 and have been exhibiting regularly since 2003.  A painter primarily, I’ve also worked with other media over the years including photography and printmaking and more recently working again with clay / ceramics.
