There is something meditative when Marti paints. It’s like a dance between two worlds, heaven and earth that take her on a journey of the soul. Her intent as an artist is to take the viewer along on this voyage with her in hopes of sharing the essence of serenity and love.

Marti’s work is mixed media on canvas & on paper. She begins with the background taking an abstract approach of shapes and color painted in many layers. She calls her style intuitive painting.

Marti is a self taught artist. As a child she could draw, color and look art books for hours. Her home was filled with art books such as, Rembrandt, Picasso, Renoir, Van Gogh, and Toulouse Lautrec to name a few. Her father and uncle were also artists. As she got older she explored different mediums such as pastels, colored pencils, mixed media and sculpture.
