  • Biography

    Lucie Jirku is a full time professional artist born in Prague who is well known mainly for her statement and bold artworks, bright colors and clean lines. Artist's own uniquely defined colorful style and technique of her abstract geometric works are influenced by NATURE, architecture and graphic design. The painter’s work has a fresh, modern look that would lend a sophisticated, modern edge to any interior.

    Lucie's significant artworks are generally focused on bold stylized abstract landscapes, mountainscapes and geometric abstract art. She is continuously developing the relation between colors, elementary shapes, detailed patterns, concept and accidence as well as she maintain space and harmony in the detail and the complex together.

    Lucie holds an MA degree from the prestigious Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. While on the programme, the artist spent a semester abroad at the Winchester School of Art in 2005.

    Since 2003 Lucie has been creating a variety of projects in architecture - interior design, paintings and commissioned paintings.

    Original artworks by Lucie are held in many private collections round the world - in the UK and the Czech Republic, all over Europe and in the USA, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong and in Taiwan.
