  • Biography
I love doing anything arty/crafty but my passion is painting and drawing. I paint mainly in acrylic and draw in coloured pencil. I also love to experiment with mixed media.  I naturally gravitate towards bright colour and texture and think this is reflected in my work.  I am fascinated by how the play of light can completely alter the mood of a place, object or animal and it is my aim to try and capture this. After spending a number of years in London I now live within easy reach of the amazing Gower coastline and I find that this, and my love of animals and the natural world, gives me endless inspiration.

Self-taught, I picked up a paintbrush for the first time in years when my twins were small to paint murals in their rooms and haven't stopped since.

As a young child, I was always creating something but life has had a tendency to get in the way and time for art has often been the first thing to go. I am fortunate enough to have rediscovered something that I can lose myself in, and I like the way that I now take more notice of the little things when I am trying to capture an image.

After those initial murals for my children, I continued to paint them for a number of years and still love the challenge of creating on a grand scale but now concentrate on painting and drawing smaller works so it's easier to fit around caring for my daughter who has ME.

I hope you enjoy having a look around.

If you are looking for prints rather than originals, these are available through Etsy as I offer 'open' rather than 'limited' editions and only limited editions can be sold through Artfinder.

Please do get in touch if you have any questions.
