    Juan Du is a contemporary painter working in narrative abstraction. A graduate of Lu Xun Academy of Fine Arts, her practice is driven by a deep curiosity about the relationship between inner emotion and external space. Navigating between cultures, she translates subtle feelings, memory, and perception into visual form through light, texture, and composition. Her paintings construct quiet yet psychologically charged spaces, where stillness, tension, and transformation unfold. Drawing from dreamlike imagery and everyday moments, her work invites contemplation while leaving space for personal interpretation.

    Event: Le corps comme seuil : lorsque le soi se forme aux lisières de l’expérience

    In 2025, I participated in the international group exhibition The Body as Threshold in Paris, which examined the body as a permeable boundary between inner and outer worlds.
    “Fin novembre 2025, la Zhen Yi Gallery, en collaboration avec Sol de Paris et sa curatrice, Hanyue Zhao, a présenté « The Body as a Threshold », une exposition collective à Paris réunissant treize artistes internationaux autour de l’idée du corps comme site poreux de passage. Conçue par Evgeniya Makarshina, fondatrice de Zhen Yi Gallery, l’exposition poursuivait sa recherche sur l’incarnation, la perception et les frontières entre les états intérieurs et le monde extérieur. S’inspirant de la notion du corps comme « charnière du monde » formulée par Maurice Merleau-Ponty, le projet abordait ces concepts à travers l’expérience vécue. "
