2025 and 2026, in my Sheffield studio

Between 2025 and 2026, in my Sheffield studio, I developed three series of oil paintings. During this period, I repeatedly introduced elements such as pearls and golden and silver spheres into my work. They may suggest treasure, wealth, and money, but also gifts, jewellery, and offerings. Set against rough, textured surfaces, these luminous forms appear both alluring and distant—radiant yet cold. This contrast reflects my ongoing exploration of value and desire, where what attracts us most can also create a sense of separation.
