About Jamie Lee

I'm a British artist, currently based in Paraguay, South America. I came to Paraguay back in 2004 to brighten up a children's home with some murals and fell in love with the country so much that I stayed to paint hundreds more murals all across the country. It was through this mural painting process and a lifelong love for the works of Lichtenstein and Warhol, that I honed my pop art style, in the telling of a complete story through one condensed frame.
I'm a vector artist and illustrator, having sold more than 80,000 illustrations through Getty images, and my aim with my paintings is to create the same perfectly sharp lines, with minimal trace of brushstroke, almost vector-like in quality, onto stretched canvas. Each design is drawn by hand before painting - no software cheats. This gives a much smoother and more unique look to each piece than the glut of computer generated pop art that proliferates the market right now. 
Love, in one form or another, forms the basis of most of my works. Whether it's love for a particular person or character, or a new way of telling an old love story.
