Galina Poloz is a Moldova-born artist working primarily in watercolor. She creates atmospheric landscapes and cityscapes that explore space, light, memory, and the fragile boundary between presence and disappearance.
Working mainly in wet-on-wet watercolor on heavy cotton paper, she is interested in the transparency of colour, the movement of air and light, and the emotional resonance of places. Her paintings often depict fading urban spaces, old architecture, gardens, roads, and reflections dissolved in water and mist.
Rather than focusing on detailed representation, her work seeks to capture the sensation of perception itself — fleeting impressions, silence, distance, and the traces of human presence hidden within landscape and architecture.
Galina Poloz graduated with honours from the Chisinau Art College and the Estonian Academy of Arts in Tallinn. Her works have been exhibited internationally and are held in private collections in different countries.
