About Dušan Rakić

Marquetry Design is an artistic craft workshop that cherishes and practices traditional craft skills of marquetry. Our intention is to refine and promote the aesthetics of modern living through the production of furniture and interior marquetry technique. 

The primary goal of my practicing marquetry technique is an attempt to promote and affirm the almost forgotten beauty of this artistic craft. To that extent I have, as part of my own self-improvement, focused on marquetry and interpretations of works by old masters’ paintings and drawings, starting from the fact that drawing foundation overall fine and applied arts. 

Offered a broad spectrum of natural textures and colors of precious and rare species of veneer, ecological process of making marquetry applications and of course, the beauty of traditional handicraft manufacturing-techniques.
