About Chihiro Kinjo

I am an illustrator and a painter, based in Suffolk.

Trained as an illustrator at Ruskin University, used to be known as Anglia Polytechnics University.

My style is figurative, however depending on the subjects I will employ abstract forms. I use mixed mediums such as acrylic, spray paint and oil pastels.

My inspirations come from nature, animals, traveling and my surroundings.

I take a sketchbook with me whenever I travel: to me sketching is the type of recording the moments of the time being there and captures the area. After that using my sketchbooks and photographs to create my impressions of the area or things which I observed.

I have been experimenting different materials such as wires, metals and clay into co my work, trying to create effective artworks . 

I am a member of Cambridge Open Studios and regularly exhibit my works through it.
