I have beeen an illustrator for newspapers and publishing for children for meny years, but I felt that I couldn't exspress my poetic vein, if not a small part. So I began to paint. In painting I am entirely the artist that I must be, without conditionings and compromises. I work on memory: I bring my personal memory in to contact with the mithological one. I mix the known with the imaginary, I paint invented landscapes that are more real than real ones, playng with metaphisics and with desire, with the grotesque, with affections and with emotions. In my painting there are echoes of Metaphisics and Surrealism, but there is not mannerism. I know that my painting is sincere and that it doesn't imitate anyone. I paint with oil on canvas. The times of oil are, par exellence, those of painting: they establish with certainty the slow path to the final result. I did exhibitions in Milan (galleria Nuages, galleria Cubet, Spazio Mantegna), in Florence (galleria Babele, galleria Fornaciai), in Paris (galerie du Marais) and in Portoferraio Isola d'Elba (sala della Gran Guardia). I want to try to reach the widest possible audience on the net and for this reason I propose my work to Artfinder. Finally, between dogs and cats, I choose cats (but I also love dogs)
