As a child my grandmother told me about the artist Auguste Milliere who painted her mother, she called him Uncle Milliere and told me that his small finger nail was very long and he used it in his paintings. When I use to visit, the first thing I did was go and gaze at the painting, I was captivated by it. So in my late 30's while going though a tough time I stated painting and discovered that it came easy to me, I paint portraits just like Uncle Milliere! I am self taught, I love colour and people, when I am painting it is like meditation for me, nothing else enters my mind.
