About Carla Cassidy

I paint abstracted oceans and landscapes with a strong focus on creating a tactile inviting painting that is the focus of a room.

I tend to paint in larger scale and create similar artworks of various sizes/shapes within a distinct series - such as my Coastal Blue series that shows the emotions of the ocean -calm/tumultuous - in shades of blue, while each piece is unique, the series builds on nuances of the waves and the mood of the ocean.

I am a full time artist and therefore my inspiration has time to spin through the many iterations of an idea, fluidly and without breaking the rhythm of the inspiration.
